Glo Gloves are one of my essential pieces of biking gear. They are made of stretchy fabric, and they fit over other gloves. The picture above shows a newish pair of the sport model, which has an abrasion resistant palm pad.
I use them year ’round. In the summer, they go over my regular bike gloves.
Day or night, they make my hand signals very clear to drivers so that I can signal my intention at intersections.
I’ve written about them here and there on the web, for example in a review for Cool Tools.
Unfortunately, there is no Canadian dealer at this time. I’ve ordered them from Night Gear with no problems, and they are willing to ship to Canada with USPS.
This is what a similar pair looks like, after several years of near daily use. These are stretched over a pair of size M ski gloves. They look tattered, but they are still functional.
Currently, I’m trying out a pair of the regular model, which doesn’t have the palm patch, but it has a much larger piece of reflective red material. If you look closely, you’ll see that a corner of the red triangle is already starting to tear. I’ll let you know how they hold up over the next year or two.
There are similar gloves out there that might be a little cheaper, but these are sewn in the US, for what that’s worth.
Highly recommended.
Thank you for your wonderful post about the GloGlov!
I would like to take this opportunity to say that there is indeed a Canadian division now. Anyone can order from us for these wonderful safety gloves or our dealers. Which will we soon have a network across Canada~!
