Today was a day of bike geekery. It started with checking in with the UToronto HPV Design Team.
Here is their current bike, with the battle scars from competing in the ASME competition last week.
Then it was off to a Toronto tweed ride.
Here is the group at the start, in Dufferin Grove Park.
Martin, our co-leader, takes a light reading.
Off to High Park to see the sakura. Here are some of the gentlemen in their finery.
Here is the whole group, minus the photographer.
The cherry blossoms were at their peak.
Time for a post ride cup of tea at the Good Neighbour.
It was great to get out into the sun, give the Moulton some exercise (the perfect bike to bridge between HPV’s and a tweed ride), and get a chance to ride in the tweed knickers that I picked up a year ago in a little place in Tokyo.
Update: lots of pictures here.

How did the UT HPV do? Great pics of the tweed event. Did anyone ride a vintage bike?
There is some coverage of the ASME event here:

and a picture of the U of T bike here:

they had to punch out the windshield to be able to see in the rain.
What’s the matter? Is a Moulton ATB not vintage enough for you?
