It’s getting dark, so it was time to consider putting a Bike Glow on the pink commuter. Of course, it would have to be pink. Luckily, there is now a Bike Glow distributor in Canada, so ordering is now hassle free.
Here is the Bike Glow installed on the pink bike. I took advantage of the fact that the bike has two top tubes.
This is one of the new units with the waterproof battery case. In principle, I could just use the velcro strap that came with the unit to put the battery case on one of the tubes, or under the saddle, for the moment, I’m putting it in an underseat bag. Here you see that I’ll have to undo the zipper a bit to turn on the unit.
Here is what it looks like when it is darker outside.
Qualitatively, I’d say that the pink is not nearly as bright as the green, yellow or aqua units that I’ve had. Probably some of this is due to the eye’s differential sensitivity to colours. At any rate, I’m all ready for those commutes home where it’s already been getting quite dark.
You’re all ready for Burning Man! 😉
