Hallowe’en Critical Mass 2011
October 28, 2011 by jnyyz
It was a dark, not stormy, night. Lots of fun costumes at the start. The fellow with Lady Liberty must have been from Fukushima (with a large radiation symbol on his back).
This fellow is not a number; he is a free man! (although somewhat out of focus; sorry about that #6)
Now on our way down Beverley.
I loved the sound of the tin cans dragged by this fetching couple on the tandem.
Our route was preplanned, with some trick or treat stops at local bike shops. Our first stop was at Urbane Cyclist.
Next, off on a meandering course towards Hoopdriver. Crowds on the sidewalk and drivers seemed a little friendlier than usual. Amazing what a few costumes and a party atmosphere does.
Martin and co-workers handed out treats at Hoopdriver.
Then heading further west.
Our penultimate stop was at Broadway Cycle. Serving treats in helmets was a classy touch.
Finally just a short ride west on Bloor to Bike Pirates, where there was a spooky bike through haunted house (with cupcakes).
Here is a video of the evening:
Thanks to all the participating bike shops, and to Bike Pirates for putting this evening together!
