HPV progress report
April 8, 2012 by jnyyz
Despite it being Easter weekend, there was a good crowd out to work on the bike on Saturday.
Here is a picture from the previous Wednesday where the canopy and door had been cut out of the shell, and the long process of digging the foam out of the shell began.
Many hours and at least six garbage bags of foam chips later, the shell is empty. Here we are looking forward through the canopy opening.
The interior of the rear of the shell shows some of the reinforcing ribs.
Here they are laying up the drivetrain support member. It will be bonded to the floor forward of the front wheel, and then to a cross member that is right in front of the driver.
Less than three weeks to go until ASME East!
