A week and a half to go before ASME East. It’s getting to crunch time. This weekend is going to be make or break for the HPVDT.
They’ve laid up a protective shell for the bike at ASME. From the looks of the course, aerodynamics are not going to be that important.
Victor is holding the drivetrain support in roughly the right position in front of the bike. It will be bonded to the floor near the nose, and also to a cross member in front of the driver (which you can see in the previous photo).
Here are the rear dropouts bonded to the shell.
