Victor moved the rear dropouts further back so that the seat could be more reclined, so that people can sit in the bike without the helmet protruding from the bike. He couldn’t revise the rear braking in time, so he McGyvered a caliper on the front, along with the existing disc brake.
There’s still going to be a fair amount of work to be done before the bikes are Battle Mountain ready. Most of the team has been spending time doing other things, so we’ll see how it goes.
Update: I see from this thread that in Northbrook, Todd crashed Bluenose, and the BB broke off the subframe.
Update 2: Ace’s frame broke at Northbrook and will need to be re-welded. For Bluenose, the BB was re-epoxied into the frame overnight and it was raced at Kenosha. Vector crashed heavily at Kenosha and will now need some more bodywork. Sounds like the team had a busy weekend.
