Vintage Bike Show
July 28, 2013 by jnyyz
The second annual Toronto Vintage Bike Show was this afternoon, on a brilliantly sunny day in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Not quite as many bikes to look at compared to last year’s show, but on the other hand, two people I know bought new-old bikes this year. In any event it’s still a lot of fun to look at the details on the various bikes.
A nice mix of old and modern parts on this retrogrouch ride. The frame is one of the original Stumpjumpers, back when they were steel with well finished lugwork. Nice wide tires for the city.
The headbadge on a Holdsworth trike.
The rear end of the same trike. One driven wheel, with a three speed derailleur.
A CCM Flyte with its distinctive curved fork.
Another Flyte with a fancier headbadge and a fork crown ornament.
I was out and about on the pink bike, and I couldn’t resist dropping by its namesake restaurant on Ossington to take this picture.
