Over the weekend, we got a bunch of snow. However, this morning, the roads were mostly clear, and it was only -15°C: time to ride into work. As per usual, the side roads were the most snowy, like this stretch of Edwin Ave. The new winter bike was fine to ride. The swept back handlebars and the more upright riding position made it easier to handle than my older winter beater.
The Kenda Klondikes were working well, although it wasn’t apparently whether this was due to the knobbies or the studs.
This is southbound Shaw St. just south of Bloor. You can barely see the yellow line to the left that marks the new contraflow bike lane. The city doesn’t seem to be plowing it, although admittedly it might be an issue to plow it in the southbound direction, given that most plows have blades angled to the right.
