It was raining pretty hard in town around 6 am, we had a report that 305 was dry, and so we send everyone out to the course around 6:30 am.
By the time we were at timing, it was evident that everything was dry enough to run.
Two heats of qualifying was first. Unfortunately, Arion2 went off the road during the first run. Here is Rossdan riding Vortex during the first wind legal run of the week.
The other bikes that ran 2.5 miles successfully were: Dave in Slimpossible, who went slower than his last run. He said that he was fast but then he ran out of gas before the traps
and Sarah in Reynolds, who is finding that the 2.5 mile run up is a bit long.
Ellen going down the 5 mile.
Aurelien finally gets a 5 mile run, and goes 72.44 mph.
Larry in Super 8. He said he hopes that the crash shell is holding him back.
Sherry in Vortex.
Todd did the first 80 mph run of the week.
Ken goes over 70 mph on his first 5 mile run.
Florian goes 65.13 mph which is the fastest ever Junior Mens’ run, but unfortunately the wind was not legal.
It looks like no more rain for the rest of the week. Now let’s hope for low winds as well.
