The bike team has been preparing to race at the annual Michigan Human Powered Vehicle Rally for the past month. They had hoped to have a new streamliner, Typhoon, ready in time, but it was not to happen. Still a great project to get members up to speed on all the things to be learned to build a speedbike.

I am told that Arbiter still runs.
This past week, they were doing some last minute rider training. In increasing distance from the camera: Vortex, Cyclone, and Tempest.

The rally is this weekend, and so they should be on their way this afternoon. Wishing them safe travels and good luck.
After they return, there will be a continued focus on finishing Typhoon, and refurbishing the other bikes. Typhoon has been designed to have a less finicky drivertrain than Vortex, and with a better system to accommodate a range of rider sizes.
There is talk about going to Northbrook/Kenosha. In addition, the team will be making another appearance at “Play on the Runway” at the site of Downsview Airport. Their appearance last year was well received.
