Today’s Country Cruise ride went from Guelph to Elora, with 57 and 80 km options. Here we are at the start point, the West End Community Centre.
Rider leader Dennis discussing lunch options in Elora. There didn’t seem to be a consensus of where to stop, and it was clear that any particular place would not be able to accommodate a group of our size in any event.
A little hike a bike at the start to get to Elmira Rd headed north.
You can’t really tell from this photo, but what struck me was the sheer number of motor vehicles per house along this stretch.
The lead group on Speedvale Ave W.
Passing through Maryhill.
Waiting to cross Wellington Rd 86 at Ariss. What great weather!
Reaching Elora, I took a brief detour to check out the Trestle Bridge, something I missed the last time I biked through town.
Had a break with these fine folks.
Riding through the covered bridge in West Montrose is always a highlight.
Back at the start. 80 km done.
Thanks to Dennis and Chris for putting together such a nice route, and to my fellow riders for good company.
