Albert Koehl put out the word that we needed to investigate who this annual cyclist was who rode the Bloor bike lanes in Etobicoke. The meeting was at Café Rouge in the Kingsway neighbourhood.
On my way over, I was pleased to see further progress on the bike lanes, with more curb installation happening between the South Kingsway and Prince Edward.
Here, heading west down the hill towards the Humber.
Headed up the hill between Old Mill and the Kingsway.
This picture taken two days ago in the same area.
I see that there are several bikes parked outside the cafe.
Unfortunately, on this morning, we were not able to agree on who should be counted as the one cyclist.
After I left, it was apparent that more cyclists joined in.
Riding back towards BWV, here are some new curbs and planters.
Some new markings that look like they were painted last night. Watch out for those barrels!
Note that on Sunday, November 5, there will be a bike rally, meeting at the Bloor entrance to High Park, and then riding west into Etobicoke to show support for the new bike lanes. Meet at 1 pm, ride at 1:15.
After I left, it was apparent that more cyclists joined in.
